Stephen Curry and the Warriors have had an unheard of inconsistent streak since their Christmas Day win at Phoenix.
While the two-time league MVP snapped out of his mini-slump and regained his scoring form, Golden State’s up-and-down streak was extended Thursday night by a Pacers team playing on the second night of a consecutive series. He returns without six key players in the rotations in TJ Warren, Malcolm Brogdon, TJ McConnell, Domantas Sabonis, Caris LeVert, Myles Turner.

The Warriors led for much of the first half but were never able to break away.

In fact, Curry’s late exploits (scoring 14 of the team’s 27 points in the fourth quarter) were a big reason why the Warriors were not only in a position to win at the end of regulation, but also to survive the shot. decisive of Justin Holiday and play the extra session.
It wasn’t a particularly efficient night for the Warriors’ superstar point guard, as he shot 12-for-27 from the field, including 6-for-16 from beyond the arc.
Having said that, despite not scoring in the overtime period, Curry finished with a game-high 39 points, which is his first 30-point game since Christmas Day. In the nine games he played in the middle, he averaged 19.8 points in splits shooting 37.0 percent from the field and 32.6 from beyond the arc.

They outplayed the Warriors from beyond the arc, knocked down six more 3-pointers and certainly played a role in the hosts committing 20 turnovers.
This loss is Golden State’s seventh in 12 games since Christmas Day. Thus, they have slumped from contending for a league-best 27-6 after the main games on Christmas to being 3.5 games behind the Phoenix Suns at 32-13.
On the other hand, this was the first time the Pacers had won back-to-back road games all season and it was their first consecutive winning streak since Dec. 11.
