JeetWin

In the 39th match of IPL 2023, Rajasthan Royals defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 29 runs. RCB had a target of 145, in response to which the team could not even play the entire over and was all out on 115. Not a single player of the team could even cross the mark of 25 runs.

Faf du Plessis (23) was the top scorer. Kuldeep Sen took 4 wickets for RR and 3 wickets in Ravichandran Ashwin's account. The team led by Samson has reached the first position in the points table with 12 points. Rajasthan has won 6 out of 8 matches and lost 2.

RCB vs. RR: Review

4th Loss For RCB

This was Bengaluru's fourth loss in 9 matches. The team has won 5 matches. Earlier, batting after losing the toss, Rajasthan scored 144 for the loss of 8 wickets. Riyan Parag played the highest unbeaten innings of 56 runs. Josh Hazlewood and Mohammad Siraj each took 2 wickets for RCB.

Game-Changing Comeback from Kuldeep Sen

Kuldeep Sen, who made a comeback in playing XI, looked in full color against Bengaluru. The young pacer picked up the wickets of Faf du Plessis (23), Glenn Maxwell (0), and Wanindu Hasaranga (18). He dismissed Faf and Maxwell in two consecutive balls.

Virat Failed Ones Again

Virat Kohli got a chance to open against Rajasthan, but once again failed to play big innings. The former RCB captain was dismissed by famous Krishna and caught by Riyan Parag at a backward point. Virat returned to the pavilion after scoring 9 runs in 10 balls.

Man of The Match: Riyan Parag

Riyan Parag played a brilliant inning in difficult conditions for Rajasthan. The youngster completed the second half-century of his IPL career in just 29 balls and scored 56 runs in 31 balls. In the last two overs of RR's innings, 30 runs were scored and all the runs were scored by Parag.

Did You Know?

With one wicket in the match, Ravichandran Ashwin became the 8th player to take 150 wickets in the IPL. I have achieved this feat by dismissing Rajat Patidar. Ashwin became the second off-spinner after Harbhajan Singh to take 150 wickets in the IPL.

He bowled brilliantly in the match, taking 3 wickets in 4 overs. Ashwin dismissed Rajat Patidar (16), Shahbaz Ahmed (17), and Suyash Prabhudesai (2).
