MS Dhoni has done things in his own ways. Whether it was celebrating a World Cup win or announcing his marriage overnight, Dhoni made sure that his touch was there.
These three occasions we are talking about here speaks of his emotional side. A lot of people feel that Dhoni is emotion-less. This judgement is nothing but wrong presumption. It does not mean that if someone who is not expressive is emotionless as well. Dhoni has his own way of expressing his emotions and he will do it and you won’t know.
Here are 3 such occasions when MSD paid tribute to three of the most successful Indian captains. In his own style.
It was an emotional moment for Sourav Ganguly in his last Test. MS Dhoni realised how important a moment it was for him and what followed was a sweet gesture. He asked Ganguly to lead the side in the last few overs of the game. Ganguly took charge and it became a moment to remember for the players on the field, the spectators inside the stadium and viewers hooked to the TV screens.

After winning the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2008, MS Dhoni called Anil Kumble, who had retired from international cricket just to receive the trophy alongside him. It was a Picture Perfect moment for the photographers.

Indian cricket team won the most awaited tournament, the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. He along with Gautam Gambhir won the final game for India as they chased down a tough target of 274 against Sri Lanka at Wankhede stadium in Mumbai. MS Dhoni, fittingly ended the game with a six. As a captain, it was the most glorious moments for him. But the Captain Cool took a back seat when the Indian team did a victory lap. It was also an emotional moment for Sachin Tendulkar, who played his last World Cup game. MS Dhoni did not steal the limelight and walked behind the team.
