Jay Shah give Green signal to all domestic and Ranji trophy tournament

Jay Shah, the secretary of the BCCI, has presented his side on the Ranji Trophy. Actually, Jan 13 Ranji Trophy was to be organized in 2023.

Due to the third wave Covid19, this tournament had to be postponed. Many times plans were made regarding domestic cricket which failed completely.

In meeting now the BCCI officials discussed the options of starting other domestic tournaments including the Ranji Trophy

After which the BCCI secretary Jay Shah’s reaction has come to the fore.

Jay Shah give statement on Ranji Trophy

Jay Shah said that the BCCI board has decided to organize the Ranji Trophy in two phases this season.

In the first phase, we are planning to complete all the matches of the league stage, while the knockouts will take place in June.

We will try our best to host a great Ranji season this time around.

Ranji Trophy is our most prestigious domestic competition. With this, Indian cricket gets new talented cricketers.

“My team is working together to reduce any health risks caused by the pandemic, as well as ensuring a highly competitive red-ball cricket competition. The Ranji Trophy is our most coveted domestic competition, has been providing Indian cricket with an enthusiastic talent pool every year. It is extremely important that we take all necessary steps to protect the interests of this major event.

Jay Shah give permission to Ranji Trophy

The BCCI has prepared a plan to hold the Ranji Trophy again. It is being said that Ranji Trophy will start again. BCCI wants the league phase to end before the IPL.

In this meeting, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and Secretary Jay Shah were also present.

Both tournaments cannot be played together. And then later the knockout matches of the tournament should be played.

The BCCI officials have decided to organize Ranji Trophy and other domestic tournaments in two phases.
