Suffering a 118-96 loss to the Warriors at the Chase Center in San Francisco, the Suns’ winning streak ended at 18.
Their streak, which is a franchise record, includes the most games the team has won since the 2006-07 season when they won 17 in a row.

Winning 18 straight games kept the reigning Western Conference champions near the top of the league standings and helped them rebound from a 1-3 start to the season.
However, this Warriors game, the second of the week, was always going to be tough on the second night of a back-to-back without All-Star Devin Booker.
Of the 18 games, the Suns have almost won the same amount at home at the Footprint Center (10) and on the road (8). During this streak, the team has dominated on both ends of the floor, ranking third in their defensive rating and seventh in offensive rating, making them one of only four teams to rank in the Top 10 for both of them.

While easily the longest in the 2023-22 season, the Suns’ streak is the most games won by an NBA team since the Milwaukee Bucks won 18 in a row in late 2019.
His current streak of 18 straight wins is tied for 10th-best place of all time. They could have made the Top 5 if they had won a couple more.
With that said, here’s a look at the five longest winning streaks in a season in NBA history:
Streak | Team | Season |
33 | Los Angeles Lakers * | 1971-72 |
27 | Miami Heat * | 2012-13 |
24 | golden state warriors | 2015-16 |
22 | Houston Rockets | 2007-08 |
twenty | Milwaukee Bucks * | 1970-71 |
* Teams that have won the championship that season.
At this point, three of the five teams that have posted streaks of 20 wins or more have won the NBA title that season. So with this streak, the Suns have risen from the level of contenders to the level of favorites.
