Brendan Rodgers who is regarded as one of the best modern British managers has returned to the Premier League, being named as the new manager of former champions Leicester City. The Northern Irishman departed Scottish giants Celtic before he could lead them to a historic third domestic treble in a row, as the opportunity to manage in the Premier League again proved too lucrative to turn down.
Rodgers is highly regarded for the work which he did first at Swansea City and then at Liverpool, where he almost won the club their first Premier League title. Not only did he establish his reputation as one of the best up and coming managers in Liverpool, but he also got a big boost when it comes to his personal life. He met the love of his life, Charlotte Searle at the club while he was managing the Reds.
While Brendan was the manager at the English giants Liverpool, Charlotte worked at the club as a travel organizer. The two first crossed paths in 2013 and sparks immediately flew. At the time, Brendan was married to his wife of 24-years, Susan.
Charlotte is 10 years younger than Rodgers and such strong was the connection between the pair, that within a couple of months of getting a divorce, Rodgers popped the question to Charlotte in New York City in 2016.
Rodgers would leave Liverpool and move on to manage in Scotland with Celtic. And it was in the Scottish aisles where the pair would tie the knot in June 2017. The pair got married at the scenic Loch Lomond Golf Club.
After having achieved probably everything that he could at the Scottish giants, it was time for Brendan to move on. Not only will he take solace in the fact that he will get to manage at a major Premier League club again, but also that fact that he and Charlotte could move back to the country where it all began for the pair.
