The Big Bash League (BBL) is set to kick off in December, the opening match will take place between defending champion Sydney Sixers and Melbourne Stars on December 5 and the final will be on January 28. The T20 will end before the Australian summer and with international matches, there will be no clash. Furthermore, the overseas plan has been postponed by the Australian authorities and BBL General Manager Alistair Dobson said: “We really like the idea of a draft of foreign players and it is something that will be on the agenda again next year. . But when we have considered the ongoing challenges of overseas travel and the need to give players and clubs some certainty, we called for it to be postponed for another year.
“There are always different opinions and that is what we love about sport in general. In general, our clubs are aligned with the model, it is clear that this is not the year to test it.
