“It was great to reach that milestone. It is quite an impressive achievement.” Curry said after the game. “It’s a bit of an odd thought to think that for the rest of my career for the most part, I’m pretty sure every three I do will be a new record, so I’ll just enjoy it.”
“Same thing when I hit 400 in a season, you really don’t put limits on what can happen, you just go on the basket and have fun and see what happens when all is said and done.”
These accomplishments come just over a fortnight after Curry surpassed Ray Allen’s NBA record of 2,973 3-pointers in regular season history at MSG.
Curry finished this Nuggets game with 23 points (6-16 shots from the field; 5-14 triples), 21 (5-10 shots from the field; 5-9 three-point shots) of which came in the second half as part of the Warriors’ 24-point deficit comeback from the first half.
Golden State, owners of the best defense in the league, held the Nuggets to just 29 points in the second half after allowing 60 before intermission. However, even Curry’s 15 points in the fourth quarter couldn’t help them complete the comeback.

The loss was only the third for the Warriors at the Chase Center in 19 home games and will surely be just a bump in the road as the Warriors, who own the league’s best record at 27-7, equipped with no key players. in Draymond Green, Jordan Poole and Damion Lee.
